The purpose of the business analyst role is to, understand, analyse and clearly define and document business/client requirements info functional specifications for development which will meet the client’s needs. The BA will also assist the business by finding the best and most suitable solution to fit and tailor the business needs. Using a variety of technical and presentation tools, analysts draw up specifications for possible improvements and produce design enhancements and changes to the system for others to develop. They may be involved in overseeing the testing of the application and system implementation. The role will require collaboratively working with clients and other stakeholders to understand their needs and goals and translate those into conceptual and detailed design requirements that the development team will use to design the application.
